My son and daughter have both attended Pennies Day Nursery, we’ve been using them for years. I cannot fault the care, love and learnings provided by the Pennies staff. The nursery is a lovely environment and the children love it there. So much attention goes into getting them ready for school and the staff are just the best. They do so many different activities every day and send photos and updates daily on what the children have been up to.
Our 2-and-a-half-year-old started with Pennies a few months ago and loves it. The management were great in communicating with us before she started and securing her place/walking us through the process. The staff are brilliant – so friendly looking after your child. There is a great balance between structured learning and free play/socialisation. Highly recommend.

My daughter has been at Pennies for over a year and her confidence is just incredible. She has so much fun doing all of the activities and playing in the garden. Every single staff member is incredibly caring and we are so lucky to be able to work and feel comfortable with our little girl being here.
I love Pennies Day Nursery because my daughter loves it and has flourished over the years. Her current key person is fantastic and so have the previous ones. She is confident, happy, eloquent, independent and opinionated. As a working mom, I would have struggled to bring up such a well-rounded toddler. Thanks to the manager and the amazing staff at Pennies.

What can I say other than wow what a nursery! We now have both our children at Pennies and we couldn’t speak more highly of them. The support that they provide to the children and the parents is exceptional.Our son has built such lovely friendships with the staff and loves walking in the door every morning to see everyone. He loves wearing everyone out asking for ‘more’ of every fun activity. Not to mention all the crafting, sensory and outdoor time that he gets to experience. Our daughter has only started last month but already thriving, smashing her naps and now munching down on all the wonderful food. As she has a dairy allergy I started off concerned about how this would be managed but have been so reassured and confident that they have everything in hand. Pennies provide a wonderful environment that I could never dream of creating at home. I’m so glad that we decided to place our children in their care. To all the Pennies staff, thank you.
Our son started at Pennies at 10 months old just over a year ago and we have been very happy with the care so far. He loves going to nursery and whenever we’ve had a chance to watch him without seeing us, he has seemed happy and content and interacting with all the staff. We enjoy seeing what he’s been up to on the app. Our family are vegan and our son has a soy intolerance so we were really unsure if he could be catered for but the kitchen does a wonderful job at providing a variety of choices for him. We started him at Pennies as my husband works at the primary school next door and had heard so many wonderful things from other parents but more importantly, the children who had been to Pennies for nursery or still attend the after-school/holiday club.My only criticism is that it is very irritating to pay for bank holidays when the nursery is closed. This is because he attends on a Monday but if he attended on a Wednesday for example, he would get the days that we pay for.
Forest School

My daughter has always loved being outdoors and I was thrilled to find Pennies Forest School for her preschool years. She settled in well during trial days and was very happy to start her full days. I love seeing the photos of her around a campfire, making little wood piles for the insects they find, and jumping on and off tree stumps with her new friends. It’s so natural, and healthy for her to be outside playing and learning about the world. The staff are really knowledgeable and I absolutely love the school manager as a male influence for my toddler. So much childcare is female-dominated, I am really happy she can have a good male role model to guide her on her days there.
My son adores his Forest school days. He loves the freedom he is given to explore and the adults fill him with confidence to investigate and pursue his ideas. The activities are novel, engaging and exciting and are not things he has enjoyed in other nursery settings. The Forest school is well resourced but children also use and learn about natural resources to support their play. The leaders are extremely knowledgeable, experienced and friendly and have quickly built strong relationships with the children.
