Pennies receive two Wilder Kent Gold Awards!

Our aim these days is to get wilder every day and as we shared recently, our efforts for out settings near Maidstone have been successful.

On Saturday 23 July Kent Wildlife Trust handed out their Wilder Kent Awards for the year, including their first ever gold awards (highest available).

Amongst 50 award winners only four gold awards were given out and it’s been our pleasant duty since then to pass two of these on to our Maidstone settings. Neil Nixon (campaigns manager) picked up the awards which have now been passed on to the sustainability leads Lucy Ralph (Hockers Lane) and Claire Barber (Newnham Court). We hope this is the start of much more work in sustainability and we’re always keen to hear from parents and others involved with Pennies about how we can help make a greener future for all the children in our care.
