As you will know if you're a regular reader of our blog - the issue of mental health in young people is a major concern for Pennies so we are always following news and the opinions of experts in the field. A recent intervention in the debate by Dame Esther Rantzen caught our attention. The founder of the Childline charity knows a lot about keeping children safe and free from anxiety and whilst much of her concern is about children much older than those we care for she makes a simple and very pertinent point. Many of the problems with mental health in young people could be helped if families were less fragmented and sometimes the people best able to hold families together are the grandparents. We thought we'd share a report on Dame Esther's opinions with you: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-46469848
