A is for Alligator (one name but there are two kinds; American and Chinese). Long, green cold-blooded meat eating mini-monsters who can grow to the size of a car and are probably best encountered by the rest of us from the safety of the outside of a zoo enclosure.
A is also for Asia (the world’s largest continent, home to the country with the most people – China) and also to some of the world’s smallest countries (like Brunei).
And, so it goes.
We mention these facts because those of us who work with children know their early years are times of endless questions as they try to make sense of the world. Sometimes the questions can be tiring but one simple solution to scratching your head for an answer is to get ahead of the game, spend a few minutes Googling the many cool facts for kids/would you believe… options online and arm yourself with information and ideas like those we posted above. It satisfies your children, may just convince them you’re a genius and does them no harm when they start school.
