Our History
Penny Scotton ran her first nurseries abroad before settling at Hockers Lane, near Maidstone and opening her first Pennies Day Nursery in 1999. After Penny’s death in 2000 her family continued her work and her example, opening our purpose-built setting at Newnham Court in 2005 and, more recently, extending our work into Sussex. Demand from families led to our PKC (kids clubs) and term-time-only pre-school offer near Maidstone. Penny’s example stays with us and her motto: “The very best in childcare, learning and fun,” will always be at the heart of everything we do.
