Pennies is a family-run company with over 25 years of experience in childcare. We provide day nursery care and kids clubs, our mission to provide: “the very best in childcare, learning and fun” applies to all our work. The motto was established by our founder – Penny Scotton – and to this day every child joining us becomes a member of the “Pennies Family” she first established. Pennies’ childcare is available for children from 3 months to 11 years of age.

All three of our early years settings achieved the prestigious Eco-Schools Green Flag in 2024. We take immense pride in our staff's dedication and look forward to maintaining this standard with planned initiatives.

Thanks to our team, families, and community for their support! Pennies is now, officially a Green Flag nursery having won the nationally judged environmental Eco-Schools Green Flag award. The national scheme gives recognition designed to “acknowledge, reward and celebrate the ecological achievements of young people.”  We’re pleased with the massive efforts put in by the Managers and especially proud of the contributions made by our young and dedicated eco-committee members and all the children who have helped us recycle, grow flowers and vegetables, fed the birds and insects and shown so much love for nature.
