Special Needs

Our staff-to-child ratio and emphasis on high levels of qualifications amongst our staff has helped us to provide effective care for a range of particular learning needs. We are always willing to meet and discuss any individual case and if your interest in our nursery is linked to a child with special learning needs we recommend you contact us directly to discuss your needs. The following statements come from our special needs policy documentation:

Pennies will endeavour to provide the best possible quality care and education for all children including those with special needs.

Each child with a special educational need will have a specific programme of requirements for his/her needs, there will be multi-disciplinary input to develop such a programme.

It is also Pennies’ policy to agree individual methods of reporting back to all parents of children with special educational needs and to maintain an ‘open door’ policy to such parents allowing for the fullest possible communication on all aspects of care.
