Our Staff
Pennies has always been more than a nursery, and more than a place of work. Our staff are regularly involved in the most amazing things as part of their work. We care for children, but a typical year with us could see you taking part in many other activities. In the past we have been involved in:
- Large and small charity events
- Producing media work including a comic, a book and a series of podcasts.
- Photography
- Face painting
- Taking part in live events like fetes and festivals
- Entering sports competitions as a Pennies’ team
- Quiz competitions
The Pennies Team offer dedication to quality care and education. We provide enthusiasm and a genuine love of young children. Our team are professionally qualified, we aim for 100% of staff with national qualifications, (national targets for the sector are currently 50%). To achieve and maintain our standards we offer:
- In-service training opportunities to all staff
- Encouragement to those with the ambition to qualify as managers.
- Help and support to qualify in areas like food hygiene, paediatric first aid and child protection.
