TO JOIN THE PENNIES TEAM:
- Enthusiastic and a demonstration of commitment to their future professional development
- Ideally a Level 3 qualification i.e. NNEB, CACHE or BTEC
- Trainees are welcome with an interest in reaching level 3, though places are limited
- We offer all Nursery Nurses the opportunity to train towards a First Aid and Food Safety Certificate
QUALIFICATIONS:
Junior Nursery Nurse
- Experience is not necessary
- Common sense, commitment and dedication
Nursery Nurse
- NVQ 3 equivalent
- Possibly skill and knowledge in delivering high quality childcare
- To work well as part of a team
- Good knowledge of EYFS and observation and recording skills
Senior Nursery Nurse
- 1 to 2 years experience within a nursery setting
- Good knowledge of EYFS sector and planning
- The ability to lead a small team
- Work well under pressure
- To support the Head of Unit in times of absence
- To attend two meetings a month
Heads of Unit
- NVQ Level 3 equivalent
- Senior experience
- Good knowledge of EYFS
- Exceptional planning skills
- The ability to lead and manage a team
- To monitor the team’s observations
Managers
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS
- 2-3 years post qualifying experience and 2 years senior management experience
- Good organisational skills
- Knowledge of Ofsted standards
- Strong ability to lead and manage staff
- An enhanced CRB is compulsory and a new application will be submitted
